Instant Pot Black Beans
A tasty and high-protein bowl of black beans prepared with ease in the Instant Pot. The dish is flavorful and filling because of the combination of seasonings and spices.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried black beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeo, diced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
After removing any debris, rinse the black beans under cold water
After rinsing, add the beans to the Instant Pot
To the Instant Pot, add the diced jalapeo, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, and bay leaf
After adding the vegetable broth, season with pepper and salt
After fastening the Instant Pot's lid, program it to operate at high pressure for 25 minutes
After ten minutes of allowing the pressure to naturally release, carefully release any residual pressure
Stir the beans after opening the Instant Pot
Modify the seasoning as needed
Spoon the cooked black beans into bowls and savor!
